After a lengthy hiatus, The Walking Dead Season 4 returns next Sunday, February 9, with Episode 9. The midseason opener is called “After,” and from what we can tell the hour will focus mainly on Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) as they fight to stay alive after The Governor’s (David Morrissey) tank massacre. Rick is in especially bad shape after being beaten within an inch of his life by the now-deceased big bad, but luckily Carl steps it up and takes care of his wounded dad. As the official AMC synopsis states, “Rick deals with old wounds; prison residents consider if survival will be enough.”
We’re also expecting to catch a glimpse of Michonne (Danai Gurira) in Episode 9, but it looks like she’s separated from Carl and Rick for at least a portion of the ep.
